Herbal Medicine

Plant medicine has been used from time immemorial on every continent and throughout all cultures. Clinical trials confirm botanical substances to be safe and effective, and without unwanted side effects when used under proper supervision by a qualified practitioner.

I have formal education in Eastern and Western herbalism, and have been a practicing clinical herbalist for many years. Unfortunately, due to recent changes from the BC Ministry of Health, Registered Acupuncturists have been prohibited from practicing any form of herbal medicine, including Western herbalism, or other traditional herbal practices. Sadly, unless this changes, I can no longer provide herbs or herbal consultations.

Traditional Chinese herbs in BC require a Registered Herbalist (RH), Registered Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner (TCMP) or Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine (DTCM) license. Please seek these designations when seeking TCM herbal care. I may choose to challenge the TCMP license in the future.

Amphoterica Botanicals

*CURRENTLY UNAVAILABLE***

Our herbs and extracts are produced by our sister business, Amphoterica Botanicals. Local herbs are organically grown or sustainably wildcrafted, then processed and compounded on site into traditional formulas and custom remedies. Small batch medicine means herbs and ingredients are always fresh, relationships are cultivated with local growers, and plants are not overharvested.

Why choose herbal medicine?

Until the invention of the Patent system of medicine, Western doctors, pharmacists, and hospitals routinely combined botanicals with pharmaceuticals, and continue to do in many parts of the world with great clinical success. When used correctly, under guidance of a qualified professional, herbal medicine is both safe and effective.
