Hello, My name is Alana Leask and I am a 3rd year intern acupuncturist at Okanagan-Similkameen Community Acupuncture. I am currently undergoing Auricular Acupuncture training under Laurel's supervision. Auricular Acupuncture is a style of acupuncture that uses acupoints on the ear to treat the entire body. It can bring relief to a wide range of symptoms, such as pain or injury, stress, anxiety, sleep disturbances, allergies, digestive and hormonal issues, and can be a helpful addition in the treatment of many chronic diseases. It is also commonly used to treat addictions and other lifestyle changes. |

Very fine needles are gently applied to points on the ear, then you recline comfortably in a relaxing environment for about 25 to 30 minutes. No disrobing or lengthy intake is required. These treatments take place in a small group environment. As a shared medical space, we require masks be worn at all times. We continue to follow sanitation and distancing precautions for a safe and sanitary clinic environment.
We are booking August appointments now. This offering is available in Osoyoos on Thursday afternoons between 12:00 and 4:00 PM, and in Keremeos on Mondays 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, and 3:30 to 5:30 PM. The treatment takes about half an hour and the cost is $10 to $20 sliding scale / pay what you can. That means you decide what you can afford to pay. As a student clinic, this offering is not eligible for insurance. However, it is tax deductible. If this time limited offering is of interest to you, please let us know and we will schedule your appointment. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out. Kind regards, Alana Leask
